Dr. Ruth Badciong
Concordia University Wisconsin with a degree in Lutheran Elementary Education
Master of Education degree (Professional Development in Teaching) from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Doctor of Education degree (Child and Youth Studies with an emphasis on Curriculum Development and Systemic Change) from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Badciong is married to Steven, a Winona attorney in private practice, and they have two young adult sons, Timmy and Peter.
She is handling principal duties for the 2023-24 school year for Mr. Rocco "Rick" Arguto who is on disability leave.
PASTOR PHIL AUGUSTINE
1990 graduate of Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, MN
1992 graduate of Mankato State University
2005 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN
When did you start at Immanuel: June 2015
Where did you grow up: On a 240 acre dairy farm east of Goodhue, MN
Hobbies: Walking, golf, technology, playing cards (cribbage anyone?), and fishing
Unique talent or fact: Being a pastor is a second career to me. I was a computer programmer/analyst for 13 years before leaving my job to go to seminary to become a pastor. But I still put those tech skills to work every day.
Favorite Bible verse: Psalm 23:1 "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."
SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
When did you start at Immanuel: July 11, 2022
Where did you grow up: I grew up in Lyle, MN until I was 13 and then we moved to Rushford, MN where I lived until I graduated.
Hobbies: Spend time with my family and our two dogs, camping, play music and singing, traveling.
Unique talent or fact: I love to make jewelry and sell at local vending events.
Favorite Bible verse: Ephesians 2:8&9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."
Miss Ginny started at Immanuel in August 2022 and just loves teaching the little ones about Jesus and His love for them.
For the 2023-24 school year, we also have Ms. Darla Marcotte as a para for the morning 4-year-old group.
When did you start at Immanuel: August 2020
Education background: Graduated from University of Northwestern St. Paul in Minnesota
Where did you grow up: Byron, MN
Hobbies: Watching my kids in sports, canning vegetables from our garden, and reading.
Unique talent or fact: I wanted to be a teacher since I was in 2nd grade!
Favorite Bible verse: Matthew 22:37: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."

Plainview High School (2006)
Bachelors degree in elementary education from University of Wisconsin – River Falls
Where did you grow up: Plainview, MN
Hobbies: Hanging out with my family (Adam, Quinnlyn, and Ryker), reading, traveling, snowmobiling
Unique talent or fact: I did part of my student teaching in Australia.
Favorite Bible verse: Matthew 7:7: “Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you shale find. Knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Hobbies: Reading, crocheting, scrapbooking, taking walks
Unique talent or fact: I was voted "Shyest Girl" in my class for our senior class “Hall of Fame.”
Favorite Bible verse: Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Where did you grow up: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Hobbies: Spending time with family
Favorite Bible verse: Hebrews 5:13: "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Education background: Graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska in 2020 with a BSED in Middle Level Education, Specialization in Elementary Education, Concentration in Middle Level Mathematics, and a Lutheran Teacher's Diploma.
Where did you grow up: Bellevue, Nebraska
Hobbies: Playing piano, organ and French horn, reading, spending time with family and friends.
Unique talent or fact: I taught myself organ in college, starting in January of 2018.
Favorite Bible verse: Be faithful unto the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. - Revelation 2:10b.

Education background: Hotel and restaurant manager certification
Where did you grow up: I grew up in Minnesota until age 12, then moved to Freeport, Illinois until 1997 when I moved back to Plainview, MN.
Hobbies: Crafting, travel, gardening, spending time with grandchildren
Favorite Bible verse: John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
